MySQL Client Error

I’m trying to install Web Auction on a site hosted at GoDaddy.com. When I try to connect I’m receiving the error “Ã¯Â»Â¿Error connecting to the database: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client.”

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
