permission denied in SkinTool.php on line 226

Trying to get Dataface 6.0.13r4 working for the first time on a Linux server.

I have gotten to the point where I am pointing a web browser to the index.php file created and I get the following errors:

Warning: mkdir(/dataface): Permission denied in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/dataface/Dataface/SkinTool.php on line 226

Fatal error: Failed to create directory /dataface in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/dataface/Dataface/SkinTool.php on line 226

I do have command line access to the server.

Can you help?

This was corrected by making the templates_c folder accessible. Failed to read the dataface_info.php installation incomplete ewrror message.
