french characters not being recorded by xataface

Everytime I type a name that got an accent such as “Jérémi” then I can’t record it in the DB (eventhough collation is set to utf-8_general_ci). Xataface cut the name at the first accent encounter i.e in this case only record “J” in the DB. Anyone else experiencing this issue. I am using Xataface-1.2.2
Thank you

Try setting the default_oe and default_ie to utf-8 in your conf.ini file to ensure that Xataface is using UTF-8.

Beginning of conf.ini:

Code: Select all
default_ie=UTF-8 default_oe=UTF-8
