Navigating related records

Hi,

I hope someone can give me a solution to this. I want the users to be able to use the result controller to wade through related records, add new related records or edit them and yet not loose track of where they were before they decided to add a new related record or edit an existing related record.

Currently once users edit or add a new record they are confined to that specific record only and have to go the main parent table, set filters and start afresh - too cumbersome especially when the records are in hundreds.

This is already handled here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3672 to an extent but if the feature is added, it doesn’t work.

Implemented using HTTP_REFERER and the navigation menus appear and work as they should

Implemented viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5203 to handle after edit action and works flawlessly thanks to the concrete example by rugcutter, however the navigation menus disappear after successful editing….any pointers will be much appreciated….

Managed to handle both the issues and want to thank Steve and all other contributors in this forum for such a great product. Keep up the good work
