Preference show_result_stats not working

The preference show_result_stats and it’s inverse hide_table_result_stats when set globally in conf.ini [_prefs] section seem to have no effect for me.

Other preferences I’ve set here, such as show_jump_menu and hide_posted_by work as expected. Is there something else that affects the operation of show_result_stats that I’m missing? I’ve tried the view when logged in as ‘admin’ and not logged in as ‘read only’ but theres no difference.

This may be a bug. You may want to try using the use_old_resultlist_controller preference to switch to the old result controller which may respond to the these additional preferences.

Thank you Steve, I’ve tried that but it doesn’t seem to work with any permutation of new or old controller and either preference
